How I got started in Animation

I started my first animation with flash animation back in 2005. At that time, I was not very interested in studying and somehow I stumbled upon Newgrounds.com. Then somehow again.. I am inspired to make animation.

I created my first complete animation titled 'Seven'. It is a simple action short but I am happy with it.

In later years, I accidentally watched a 3d CGI cutscene from a game that's really catches my attention. That 3d movie is a opening cutscene from Final Fantasy X-2. Afterwards I bought a PlayStation and the FF games. Played all of it throughout my holidays and I fell in love with Final fantasy because of  the story & the characters.

Final Fantasy is really the one that got me interested in 3d and seeing how a game movie can make me feels. That's what I am trying to bring into my movies, to make a animation/film that makes people feel.

Character 'Hellami' from web Animation series

A render of Hellami from the web animation series 'Hellami'. So far the reception is positive and good but many did comment that she looks like Faith from Mirror Edge. I could see the resemble with the asian look and the tank top but the truth is that the design is not inspired by Mirror Edge.

This is not the final render, i am hoping to render a better looking pose with better facial pose too.

Ways to Market my free online Animation Web Series

A month ago, I started to establish my Youtube Channel. A week ago, I bought a domain name www.choo5d.com. Even though I am running a company 'Animatzen' together with my friend, I wanted to try creating a online business with my passion of creating animations.

Recently I borrowed several books on online marketing and oh boy..It opens my eyes to new possibilities. In the past, I am lost but now my path becomes clearer. There are many free ways such as using social media, articles, inbound links and email marketing. I knew about them years ago but reading more in depth about them brings new awareness.

Today my goal is to get traffic to my website, my youtube channel & to also getting Subscribers! Last month I have 9 subscribers, today I have 21 subscribers. It is a improvement :)

2016 on new Animaton Web Series Project!

It's been a year since I posted. Going to update here as much as I can.

I am currently continuing a animation web series project and starting a new one as well. The title of the project is 'Hellami'.

 

Plot
A Unknown disease known as Redies has turned normal human being into sharks-like monsters with extra ordinary strength and power. But the origin of Redies can be traced back to as long as a thousand years back with the first appearance of super natural beings.

Hellami, a expert and a detective of such cases is bought to investigate the 'sharks attacks'.

 It is a free online animation web series. So far, the third episode is almost finished and beginning the next one.
